My Philosophy of
Family Entertainment
"It might seem odd to have a
'philosophy of family
entertainment', but I have one.
It's simple... this is it...
It's not about me.
I come to your party to entertain
you and your guests, and I'm on
'stage' (or maybe just in front of the
fireplace) and I put on my little show
and everybody's looking at me, sure,
but really, it's not about me and my
little show. It's about you and your
child and your guests. I want your
birthday child to feel like the star of
the show, I want your guests to feel
entertained and comfortable and
most of all, I want you, the mom or
dad or event planner to feel like you
got your money's worth and then
some. I work hard to make sure you
know what to expect from me and to
deliver it. I want this to be a positive
experience for YOU!
I know that planning an event like a
birthday party is a lot of work (I
have three kids, I've been where you
are) and I want to do my part to
make this event
less stressful for
you. I keep my booking process
simple, I always show up, I never
cancel, I make sure your guests
have a good time at my little show
and I respect the kids and treat
them with patience and kindness
because I want them to have a great
time. If the kids have fun,

Momma's happy. If Momma's
happy, everybody's happy.
Especially me, because

that's my job."

Dear Mr. Pitts,
We are planning a birthday party for our three year old, and
some of the guests will be that age too, but some of the kids are
older and there will be adults there too. Would your show be
appropriate for everyone at my party.
Sincerely,
Birthday Mom

Dear Birthday Mom,
Yes, my show is for the whole family. I've been doing this for a
long time and I have found over the years that just because the
guest of honor is three years old, it doesn't mean everyone at
the party is three years old. My Small Wonder Circus is really
and truly entertaining for little bitty kids, grandparents and
everyone in between. It is 'kid tested and mom approved' by
thousands of happy customers.

Dear Mr. Pitts,
Do you wear clown make-up and do you always bring the big
puppet to your parties?
Sincerely,
Another Birthday Mom

Dear Another Birthday Mom,
Clowning is a big part of my background as an entertainer, but I
no longer wear clown make-up. I find that my comedy works
better when I use the funny face I was born with. And, no,
Henry (the big puppet) doesn't always come with me. I have
been surprised to find that little kids actually respond well to him
and think of him as a big toy ( I introduce him that way to
younger crowds), but his comedy is verbal, jokes and such, and
little kids seem to like the more active parts of the show and my
soft puppet characters better.
